How to use MyVibe

MyVibe makes playlists that match how you feel. Here's how everything works.

Getting started

You can use MyVibe as a guest or create an account. With an account, your playlists are saved and the app learns what you like over time.

The 4 ways to make a playlist

Text

Type how you feel or what you're doing. For example: "rainy Sunday morning", "getting ready for a party", or "feeling nostalgic about the 90s". The more detail, the better the playlist.

Audio

Press Record and say how you feel out loud. The app will understand your words and make a playlist. Speak clearly in a quiet place for the best results.

Image

Pick a photo from your phone or computer. The app reads the mood of the picture — a sunset, a city at night, a cozy room — and makes a playlist that fits. Works best with photos that have a clear feeling.

Vibe Catcher

Hear a song you like? Press Listen and hold your phone near the music for at least 5-8 seconds. The app will figure out what song it is and make a playlist of similar songs — same genre, same mood, same energy.

Platforms

Choose where you want to listen before generating your playlist:

YouTube — plays music videos right inside the app. You can also open the full playlist on YouTube.
YouTube Music — audio-only. Opens on music.youtube.com for uninterrupted listening.
Deezer — links to songs on Deezer. Great if you use Deezer as your main music app.

How the mood picker works

Before making a playlist, you can tap an emoji to tell us how you're feeling. This helps us pick songs that match your mood even better. You don't have to pick one — it's totally optional.

Preferences and presets

Go to Preferences from the menu to tell us what kind of music you like: your favorite genres, artists, languages, and more.

You can create multiple presets — for example, one for the gym, one for studying, one for cooking. Pick which preset to use from the dropdown on the main page, or set a default.

Pick "No preferences" if you want a fresh playlist without any bias.

Automatic preferences

After you've made a few playlists, MyVibe will suggest preferences based on what you've been listening to. You can accept them, edit them, or skip.

Rating and feedback

After a playlist is made, you can rate it (1 to 5 music notes) and leave a comment. You can also like or dislike individual songs by holding your finger on a song (or right-clicking on a computer). This helps MyVibe learn your taste and make better playlists next time.

My Playlists

All your playlists are saved. Open My Playlists from the menu to see them. Tap a playlist to play it again. Hold (or right-click) to rename, delete, or mark as favorite.

Tips for the best playlists

Be specific: "upbeat 80s pop for a road trip" works better than "music".

Use images with a clear mood — landscapes, events, and moments work great.

For Vibe Catcher, record at least 5-8 seconds in a quiet place with the music playing clearly.

Set your preferences — even a few favorites make a big difference.

Rate your playlists — the more feedback you give, the smarter MyVibe gets.
